Yes - you collect all urine over a 24 hour period and then the hosiptal tests it to see how much adrenalin there is.

I have done it twice now and both times were fine.

yes I've got to have the 24hr test-its for Catecholamines or something like that-apparently its the only conclusive test to do and picks up how much dopamine is in your system

Yes there are drugs that can block the production and depending on your symptoms the Dr may also do further investigations to find out why the gland is overactive.

So I go to my Doc and ask for an adrenaline test? Is it another test name at all??

Just that ive asked this before & they know nothing.

ask for a 24hr Catecholamines (this is the name for the adrenelin chemical apparantly) urine test-they give you a massive containter to collect it in and 24hrs later you send it back to the doctors

Hi Peter - I have adrenal problems.. can't stop producing the stuff! And it affects my kidneys (which live just below the glands).

I see an Osteopath ( she doesn't just deal with rugby player injuries!) and she keeps my adrenal glands in check ( and other health issues). Some Osteopaths deal with this type of issue and others like IBS
