I'm not trying to take up all the space in this forum but I'm trying to be a bit more specific about the problems I talked about in my previous post "I Need Some Help Here."

To recap, I have real trouble finding shoes that fit because I have very narrow feet. I get pain in one of my ankles and pain on the base of my left foot and I think it is because my shoes don't fit. I really need to solve this because I want to go hill walking. I feel very depressed about this. I've always lacked the something that other people seemed to have which means they have friends, get married, have good jobs. I get very depressed about anything new or any setback.

I've had my feet measured, they're size 7, D fitting. I've had my ankle X-rayed and its not broken. The only treatment the doctor can suggest is cortisone. The heel pain is pantar faciitis and the only treatment other than rest is again cortisone. I don't think it would solve the basic problem because I think it is due to badly fitting shoes.

Recently, I got some shoes made but they still don't fit. Maybe my anxiety meant I did n't explain everything to the shop

I feel I'm really on my own with this.

I have a real mental block with this. I could really do with seeing a counsellor who could help me problem solve or teach me some life skills.

Hi

Why dont you look into seeing a counsellor if you feel that will help and i am sure it will. I appreciate it is hard and you want to go out walking, so why dont you give the cortisone injections as try and see what results you get from them.

hi sorry i did reply to the last post but i sent you off looking for shoe catalogues :D

try the cortisone the doc advises you cant make it any worse and also mention that you think some councelling might help im sure if you volunteer your self for it you will get it quicker than waiting for the doc to ask if you want it

Hiya

I think everyone can shoes/boots that fit though not necessarily in a high street shop. You may need a specialist shoe fitter. If they don't fit then tell them you are not happy and get them redone.

I get tennis elbow and they told me that I can get cortisol injections but I decided not to cos I hate injections and pain lol.

I am sure this can be easily solved once you get the right sized boots.
