Trazodone

Hi

Ive been to DR's today, he put on Trazodone so im a bit woozy now! Has anyone else tried this? Im really sensative to most meds so im only on a low dose.

Ive been on Lustral, sertrline, ciprlex, flouxtine& cripram there are the only ones I can think of at the mo! That been over a 6 year period, and for the last two years I havnt been on any meds. Things have got so bad again the last year ive biten the bullet and gone for it. I am also going for hypnosis soon so fingers crosssed all of this will help.(excuse my terrible writing&spelling!!)

I've just been prescribed this too - not taken it yet, as my shrink wanted me to stop taking, overnight, the anti-d I'm already on (Lustral) and that seems like a very bad idea as she only wants me to introduce Traz. gradually. God I'm scared of this whole dilemna. Please let me know how you get on with it. Do you take it am. or at night? I've been told to take it at night, as it's supposed to help me sleep. I've read lots of negative stuff, of course...Thanks a lot, Janey x

Well in all honesty ive been taking it 2 weeks, im a complete mess, worse than before!

Before I started meds I brought some crystals & they have ben with me ever since but a few days into meds Ive felt horrible.

Ive been crying everyday, my hubbie said he talks to me but it doesnt seem as if im here!!! I would rather he was honest than lie & say I was ok when im not.

I rung my specialist today adn broke down in tears, on the plus side she did say it takes 3/4 weeks for trazone to kick in!!! Im Hope so

I have just brought Bach, rescue in hope that might clam down!?

Hello, I have been on Trazadone for 26 days. I take 300mg daily, 150mg morning and night.
My depresssion has improved a bit but it takes 6 weeks to gain its full potential.

However I have loads of other problems that it doesn't help like disturbing thoughts, sleep problems and irrational fears. I am on anti psychotics, sleeping pills and tranqs for those but they aren't helping me much.

hi i been on trazadone for 6 months im on 150mg at night to help me sleep which it doesnt and i just been told to up it to 300mg which i havent done as of yet i also got prmazine to take when needed if theses arent helping you go back to gp theres loads of other tabs out there good luck x

God isn't it awful how much drugs they throw at you and you're just supposed to get on with it! I feel like a complete zombie today - on an anti-psychotic as well now (Olanzepine) as well as the Lorazepam and Zolpidem I was already on, oh and Diazepam and another Tricyclic anti-depressant It's TOO much and I'm actually reallly anxious about it all. I only just kept out of hospital last week and am now being cared for by the Crisis Team so it's crucial I make some progress or they will ship me off. I don't feel my depression is any better - mornings are so hard, and last night I cried into my pillow for ages. It's SO hard to get people to listen to you and not just give the standard response. So my thoughts are with you, Ellen, Amanda and Honeybee. Keep strong. Love and hugs - Janeyx

Oh honey sorry you feel so bad! what are we all like!
You know what at this moment in my life I would love to be "shipped off" just to have a break, try and sort my head, talk to professianl rather waiting a year to see talk to some one!!

I forgot to say, I take mine at night just as well really or i wouldnt even get out of bed in the AM!
