Could I have a hug please???

Hi Gang:)

Well at 12.55 pm a year ago tommorrow my cousin died after I gave consent to switch his life support machine off:weep:

I still wonder if I did the right thing but I know deep down I did:weep:

He was 43:weep:

I have no grave to visit as his ashes are in Loch Lomond:weep:

Got a lovely peace candle from Glastonbury to burn tho but could really use a hug or two:)

aww sending you a very big :hugs: and always try to remember the good memories like i do with my gran stuff that still makes me giggle, even the tiniest of things. i keep a memories album old photos and stuff and every year me and kids put something new in there and keep her memory alive

hiya kazzie...it certainly is not ..i would say its the most hardest difficult decision Ive ever had to make in my life ..it happened 12 year ago and still hurts .....i was so much a coward 3 year ago i left my eldest sister to give consent not to resuscitate our dad i could not do it a second time.. end someone life ....so i know how you feel ....you did the right thing kazzie dont fret ...take care .....sally :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

I think it was the hardest thing Ive ever done too but I was the next of kin so had no choice:weep:

I must admit the what ifs still haunt me but I know he had no chance and I console myself with the thought that at least the machine was free then for someone who did stand a chance:weep:

He was Scottish by the way which I guess You are:shrug:

Kazzie what a very difficult time for you. You had to make a choice about your cousin. Perhaps take some comfort about why, would he be better off where he is today or suffering for the rest of his life. You said he badly burnt himself, would he of really got over that, not really.
For some people its about quality of life and not just living.

Hi Kaz,

I really do feel for you. Been following this post for a while and it seems you have so much support from here.

My Mum too was cremated and ashes scattered in some obscure place - some place I cant bare to visit now. I wanted to remember her passing and birthday without having to go back to the location so I planted a rose bush in my mums memory (she loved roses) so tending it and being there gives me so much comfort, I know she'd be pleased that I'd made the effort.
