Heart stops or leaps randomly...

Occassionaly my heart feels like it's stopped and I stuggle for air...does anyone else get this?

yeah, i get this alot too.
it scares me because of the off chance that i maybe could have a heart attack, because my grandad has had one.

Hi, Yes I get it too..and have been having it on or off for the last 20 years..and I am still here!! I do know how worrying it can be, and I have had countless ECG's but everything is fine.

If I remember correctly, I think its called an Eptopic Heartbeat.

I called it the heart drop, lasts usually 2 seconds and seems like forever.

Then comes the "flight" which is traced back to cavemen days when hunting large animals, heart races, certain organs get restricted blood flow and adrenaline including cortison is released. People say dont worry but its hard not too, the first attack i had lasted 2 hours which i found out by the paramedics was constant panic attacks on top of eachother every 3-5 minutes.

Seek medical assistance, this is very common.
