I decided to join the site after finding it whilst browsing online. It does look a really good site, and hopefully it will be of some benefit, once I get used to it all! I was amazed by the amount of people that use the site ~ and there was me thinking I was the only one feeling as I do! :wacko:

Thank you for the reply. How are you? I have been reading through the site and I really feel like I am now not the only one on the planet who feels like I do, because sometimes it does feel like that, haha.. Already the site has helped by making me realise that, because I honestly dont know anyone who has been through or goes through what I do offline. Everyone I know seems to be having a great time in life without any problems and that makes me feel really alienated and like I am some kind of freak. Reading through what some of the messages that people have left made me feel like I could really relate to what people had written.

Oh how many times I have said near enough the exact say words to myself!! Have you ever stopped and thought though Carla that maybe, just maybe those people leading 'normal lives' are living a lie? Maybe they too are feeling how we are, but have not yet found the courage to seek help?

I have been a member here now for two weeks, and I can honestly say it really is a big comfort to know that when I am feeling so very very desperate, there will always be someone on here who understands.

I am really glad that the site is helping you. Maybe you are right about people feeling the same way but not admitting it. I am the type of person who says what ever I am feeling, and I am very open and I suppose I expect people to be the same. I just seem to be surrounded by people who seemingly have no problems and who breeze through life, and never get anxious, panicky and agaraphobic, or who feel sometimes that when they eat they will choke, or who want to run and hide away from everything in a social enviroment, or who one moment feel fine and superconfident and then the very next moment out of nowhere feel like the sky has just fallen on their head and the world is closing in on them, yet what you said has made me think and maybe there are plenty of people who feel the same way as I do but hide it well. Today I am having a good day but I know there will be plenty of absolutely horrific days ahead and I am so so glad I found this place, to be able to sit and write and read what other people have to say about their problems too. It feels good knowing that there is now somewhere to turn to.
