Do panic attacks have to be triggered from a phobia ?

No not atall

Mine weren't triggered by phobias atall - they were triggered by other stupid things that I had no control over. For example, thunderstorms, hangovers, tiredness, strobe lights, loud music etc

No - complete exhaustion and system overload often bring on the first ones.

Also stimulants like caffiene, red bull, recreational drugs and things like hypoglycaemia too.

no panic attacks are not usually triggered by phobias, it is usually because there is too much stress going on in the persons life ..this stress may have been gathering for a long time or over a short period, and the build up causes the body to produce to much adrenaline causing panic and fear..however it is not harmful.
