My name is James and I have suffered from anxiety since I was 8/9 years of age. I'm 44 now and anxiety comes and goes in my life regularly. My 30's were the darkest days having convinced myself I had every illness known to mankind. Most of my anxiety seems to take it out on my stomach and I have been diagnosed with IBS and reflux. I am on lansoprazole and take Mebeverine.

I'm looking forward to talking and sharing my experiences and hope I can help others as experience, I find, is a useful tool when dealing with anxiety.

Welcome James, sounds like your experience pretty much mirrors mine. At 42 I no longer expect a miracle cure but managing the effects of this condition is possible, especially with help from sites like this. I don't treat it as one big war to be won, but as a series of battles. Keep fighting!:)
