Hi Guys, I'm looking for idears.
Gonna have a BBQ next Bank Holiday, weather permitting.
My partners friend has a toddler of about 4yrs old, he's a bit of a Terminator2 and needs to be occupied to make the occassion a bit easier for me.

Any idears? inflatable paddling pool? bouncy castle? any good toys?
maybe a rocket ship to blast him into Space! :whistles: hehe :)

Hiya Dave,

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for making me smile first thing in the morning!!:D I was visualising you launching your lively little person into space while you bunged another sausage on the BBQ - tee hee! If I think of anything to keep him amused I'll certainly post it here.

Hope you have a brilliant time next Bank Holiday!!

Dave lol, a rocket ship - your soooooooooo bad :D :D

I've got a 3 year old niece who is mad on bubbles http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_1_226.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZCxdm594YYGB)- you can get them for as little as 49p or you could always go for one of those bubble making machines (around £10) http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_9_7.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZCxdm594YYGB)

Another thing she loves is 'making things'. I save packaging (boxes, bottles etc) and give her glue, stickers etc and she 'makes things'. I have some lovely (!!) creations scattered all over the house. If it's good weather you could always think about letting him paint his creations afterwards.

What about a roll of lining paper, pencils, stickers (you can get great stickers nowadays) and let his imagination run free - this is great if the weather means you are all indoors. Adults can join in too
!!

Whatever you do Dave, have a great time and remember, however energetic he is - he will be going home at the end of the http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_72.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZCxdm594YYGB) lol

Take care

Hi dave, can't see a mini terminator blowing bubbles somehow:D !!

I was gonna suggest letting him climb some trees if you have any, it got rid of sooo much energy with my 2 sons many years ago, but don't think people let kids do things like that now do they? I take my grandsons to those Whacky warehouse places so they can break a leg in comfort:ohmy:

The bank hols here in germany are all over the place, in fact today here its mothers day and 2 weeks ago was fathers day:wacko:

Catch up with you soon hun,
Cathy :bighug1:

What about playing cowboys and indians and tying him to a tree and leaving him there!!!! LOL or hide and seek and let him hide.!!!! You can tell i'm a loving Mum to a terminator child myself.:roflmao:
Seriously what about swing ball or making an assault course. My boys love to have one of them and then a competition with the adults to see who is best. Much more fun with a drink in you!
Hope the weather holds out for you
