I'd like to hear from anyone who, like me, switched from Venlafaxine (Effexor) to other anti-depressants without success and eventually went back on Venlafaxine. I have spent a year trying to stabilize on other drugs as I hated Venlafaxine, but it did keep me relatively stable, which I am certainly not now. My query is whether i have burnt my bridges - if I go back on it, will it work? I don't want to take the risk of switching yet again, only to find that it wasn't worth it. I know I've read posts from people who tried other drugs without success, but then found V didn't work when they went back on it. Thanks guys. Janey.
