Hi
I just wanted to share with all my fellow HA sufferers. I bought a really good book off ebay yesterday called AN INTRODUCTION TO COPING WITH HEALTH ANXIETY by Brenda Hogan and Charles Young.
This book is only £2.99 and the best read ever.It honestly could have been written for me and it is very simply written so you dont get bored reading it!!
The first chapter focuses on HA and the second is based on CBT exercises which i am going to start tomorrow when i have read and digested the first chapter again(if that makes sense).
Anyhow, just wanted to share and I hope someone else might buy it and find it really helpful.
It lists all the ways that you MAY have tried to reduce your HA and how all these ways are only helpful short term and then the HA kicks in again.
The usual---going to the doctor and getting good advice and then after few days we start thinking the GP is wrong, seeking reassurance from our partners and then after a few days asking them the same questions all over again, looking up symptoms(google !!!!!!!!!!) on the net and then making ourselves so frightened-----and so the list goes on!!!
