Hello all,
Sort of a continuation of a thread I started earlier re: lymph node enlargement, man this health anxiety is a pain! Just when you think you're past it, you've got new reasons to worry.
I won't make this longwinded, here's a quick summary of where I am at:
-Mono 2 years ago.
-March 2008, congested left ear (whole month)
-Saw a doctor, got a saline spray, cleared it up.
-Found bumps on back of head and behind left ear, definitely lymph nodes,
they were hard and rubbery and mostly painless but I've had 2 doctors assure me it's benign, possibly a "mono hangover".
-Ear congestion returned last week.
-Headaches/head soreness have started within the last week. Sometimes at the back, centered around enlarged nodes, but more often than naught it's at the top, far away.
-Almost 100% concentrated on the left side.
-They far less a "throbbing" headache and more of a "burning" kind.
My father was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his brain last summer, so obviously any prolonged headache is enough to worry me. I have a doc's appointment for next Tuesday, but I'm sure they'll just say what they've said before, "it's your mono again" or "just a virus." Clearly somethign is attacking my system...anyone find these familiar?
