Hey yall. i am a 49 year old woman who suffers from.....i don't know what. I was diagnosed as bi-polar, but i never seem very manic. if anything i suffer from a real lack energy. i am always chronically tired.
does anyone taking lithium suffer from hands twitching? it is very disturbing and i am going to stop the meds because of it. i am currently on abilify (new), zoloft, and trazadone for sleep. and the lithium which i am stopping today.
anyway, hello!

Hiya Sheryl,
I have Bipolar, but have had manic episodes. It's unusal for a doctor to diagnose you with this illness without going through a manic stage. I understand there are different levels to the illness, but this is what I thought docs assessed the illness by.
Do you think the tiredness is related to a depressive stage ? If not, anaemia could be a possibility or even problems with your Thyroid. Have you had your Thyroid checked to see if you're Under? Best to get yourself checked.
Hope you feel better soon xx
