Anyone ever think that water just fell on their skin but their is no water.

its kinda like a pins/needles feeling but more random and all over my body. Like I usually feel it on my arms and hands (but sometimes on my legs or neck)

Its way random though. Like one drop feeling and then one like 10 minutes later and then none for a day or two.

Or it could be described as the feeling you get when you first start running/sweating. Like your pores are opening.

Anyways I'm sure normal people would never notice this :) God bless anxiety :)

Anyways! Anyone had this experience.

Hi I have had this especially down the left side, I even go to brush it off and then realise it is not water or anything. I have even mentioned it to the Docs in the past and they were not worried.

Dont you just love Health Anxiety!

Hi,
Absolutely! I have had this most of my life. I thinik it has something to do with dry skin or the inability to prespire. Im not a doctor but I have had it so long its pretty normal for me .

Im just amazed anyone else had it and had to respond to say yes. Im not sure but I don't think its uncommon. Its just many people never mention it.

Hi,

The sensations you are all describing are called dysesthesia. Please PM me because I'm trying to find other people who have this and I'm seeing doctors and can't figure it out. For me I feel water when I move in the chair, cross my legs, pressure, bend etc and just randomly. Hopefully the forum will send me an email notifying me of the PM. I don't normally use this forum.

Thanks.

This seems to be a running theme today, someone else posted about a verry similar issue earlier  do you have a history of anxiety at all?
I think it's just one of those things that happens and some people get it more than others. If you focus on strange symptoms they tend to uncrease. Psychosomatic.

I get random water drop and burning sensations all over my body. I had it for six months and then it went away for over a year and now it is back.

Both times I was on a low carb diet and the second time I was on an extreme ketogenic diet. The doctors told me it could be caused by the immune system, but I have realized it could be caused by nutrition.

I suggest everybody take a b-complex and a multivitamin. Also avoid alcohol because that depletes the vitamins. Eat a diet of unprocessed foods and maybe go "gluten" free AKA no wheet, barley, oats etc. and also add corn to that.

Do that for six months and see if it goes away. It could also be a weird neurological imbalance caused by who knows what maybe. Perhaps diet, metabolic stress, altered metabolic production, sickness or psychological stress, medications which interfere with nutrient absorption are all likely to cause the things to be slightly off.

The first time it happened to me I was taking three antibiotics and I was about two weeks in to it. There is also a thiamine derivative which is good for treating thiamine deficiency called Thiamine TTFD, sold as "Allithiamine" on the front of the bottle in western countries at the moment. That may help with depression which could be related to thiamine deficiency and it was designed by the Japanese over 50 years ago to treat thiamine deficiency better than thiamine can.

I have some more theories:

Perhaps being vitamin or nutrient deficiency can cause anxiety. The lack of these nutrients could also cause strange sensations all over the body because the nutrients are needed for proper function of the nervous system.

Or, perhaps chronic anxiety can make the nervous system overactive or imbalanced, which then causes the strange sensations. So, it is not imagined psychologically, but it could still be caused by anxiety.

Also, if you are on a strange diet like a low carb diet or ketogenic diet perhaps the body thinks it is under stress. If you do this for long enough the nervous system starts to become unbalanced and you start to feel strange sensations like water or burning. Also any unsual diet could cause direct nutritional abnormalities.

I'd like to hear from the other people who have these abnormal sensations. Do any have random burning sensations all over too? I get water and burning.

I just got back from my first neurologist visit since these paresthesias / dysesthesias (not sure which to call it) have returned.

I told the doctor about the only three times in my life I've felt unusual nerve signals like this. I suggested it could be related to nutrition and diet by citing what I was doing at the times I had these symptoms. He said he thought it was suggestive of a metabolic cause based on my story. Though, he wasn't able to confirm anything or say he had experienced this cause and effect before.

History:
1. 1st time I ever felt strange nerve sensations was water running down the leg sensation seven years ago that would happen mostly when sitting. I was depressed at the time and drinking alcohol heavily daily for a few months I think, but I can't remember exactly. I gained 20 lbs in about a month, and I never usually gain weight. It lasted for maybe a year or so after that, I can't remember.

2. 2nd time was in 2011 when I was being treated for a fake lyme disease a doctor said was causing my myofascial pain syndrome. Two weeks into the 3 antibiotic cocktail I started getting random snow flake and water drop sensations all over and some buzzing and tingling when sitting. I also developed burning sensations all over. At one point my feet burned all the time for about two weeks. I was also on a low-carb diet at the time I think, maybe 6 months in and probably eating a restricted selection of foods. Not sure. It lasted maybe 6-12 months at most and finally went away and stayed away for over a year.

3. 3rd time it happened it acted exactly the same as the second time, not like the first time, which was like long water pouring down the leg rather than patchy and all over. I was about 6 months into a super extreme low-carb high fat diet which I was eating butter and olive oil and fatty meat as the primary source of calories with some lettuce. I became lactose intolerant 3 months into the diet and had to stop eating butter and cheese. At the 6 month mark I suddenly had the abnormal sensations come back one day all over. I was also 15 days into an upper respiratory infection at the time when they came back. I had also recently upped my strength training activities before I got the URI.

Yes i have those exactly same cold water feelings.I lost 13 kg in about two months and i am doing low carb diet.I get those water drops on my both legs.In the beginning i thought that they will go away but no they are still here every day and is really annoying.I play poker for living so i sit in my desk for 5 - 6 hours per day for 3 years now. Also had a low back injury 4 years back with a pinched nerve from lifting but i though that i cured that until a mount ago when i was hiking a local mountain in my area and after i while when i came home my back got worse.Since than this water sensation got worse.I have them in my legs only.Went to doctor 4 days ago and he doesnt have a clue and has put me on a lot of tests. since then i read all posiblle forums a get with this issue but your post seems the real one.Your explanation seems best.I also started taking all multi vitamins + b 12 and i will quit my diet.At least i will eat more carbo:).My doctor also told me that one cause can be my diet since i am 1 90 tall and had 108 kf before and have 95 now.Sorry for my English bye

Interesting. How ago did you stop the diet? How long were you on the diet? How low carb was the diet?

I'm considering adding extra methylfolate. I'm already adding extra with a derivative of thiamine called thiamine TTFD.

If it goes away I'll know how long it takes this time because I recorded exactly when it started. It started in July 2013, so I've had it for 6 months. I'll wait another 6 months and see if it goes away. I was also on the diet for six months.

Do you have any other problems like pain in the neck or jaw? I have a lot of muscle and TMJ related pain so I was wondering if maybe it could be caused by a nerve in my neck.

You can send me messages uniman, I'm not sure I'll notice if you post a reply. I just happened to stumble upon this thread again through a web search.

This is a great thing that is happening to all of you. Why? God is trying to get your attention and draw you closer and cleanse you he is preparing you to join in him in heaven see Ezekiel 36:25-27 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
This does not happen to everyone. What should you do now get a bible read it and obey it. Get on your knees daily and cry out to Jesus Christ. You maker is your husband he desires that you seek him zealously. Rejoice because God is literally cleansing you spiritually from heaven...he loves and does not want you to perish. Remember this does not happen to everyone. When it started happening to me I was concerned then inquired of the Holy Spirit to give me understanding and Ezk 36:25 was pressed on my heart....rejoice and get ready for heaven no more tears, no more Mondays, sadness or wickedness just pure love and you have been invited!!

How many of you drink alcohol? I get this in my left arm and sometimes legs along with hot/cold flushes and the odd pins and needles attack in the the hands or feet. Im trying to figure out if it CNS related from alcohol consumption or just a GERD Anxiety symptom. Im terrified it could maybe be a blood clot.

These'signals' from your skin are nerve ending tics and twitches, the primary cause for this is medication side effects including and often the overdosing and buildup of vitamins in your body. Reduce your vitamin intake to just one or two tablets per week, (ignore the packets instructions) drink more fluids meaning water, and monitor 'your unwanted symptoms". Beware of iron-zinc vitamins and do not think if one tablet is good for you then 3 must be better. And do not purchase ONE VITAMIN ONLY TABLETS, these are the one you will take more of, and will over-dose on, so stick with multi-vitamins.

Anyways! Anyone had this experience.Glad to see I'm not the only one! I have Multiple Sclerosis, so I guess this phantom water droplets is a new symptom for me. I also get the feeling like bug's are crawling on me, but there are no bug's. Thanks for posting this!

I was at a cash register once and thought the ceiling was leaking. I looked up, the cashier looked up, everyone's looking up at the ceiling for the leak. :D

I think it may be one of the rainbow of symptoms of fibromyalgia, which I have. Warm or wet sensations can really be unnerving.

I have anxiety for more than 10 years. 4 months ago I developed muscle twitches and its still there. From yesterday I feel like needle size cool water drops in my hands and feet. I'm worry about this and this is affecting to my anxiety too. I think this is anxiety related and hence no known solution for this.

I am in withdrawal from benzos 19 months out, taking Remeron, and on a Keto diet; this just started this week and it’s freaking me out. Thanks to all the previous posters, if any of you got better please let us that you did, and if you did anything specific to help it.

I’ve also had the touching sensations in my head and more so in my right ear, the mini water drop feelings are on my right forearm.
