my mum self harms and has done so for the passed 2-3 years after a breakdown of a relationship. My brother has just turned 18. At the weekend I noticed an arrow he had carved into his leg with a knife. I asked him why he did it and he said because the pain helped him to focus amd motivate him. I have never had a desire to self harm so can't really understanding it. It is making me sad. How can I help my family? I don't have any other family close by.
