i talked on the phone lol

hi guys just a little one

i usually pay for stuff by card and send cheque each month to pay off bills

this morning i decided to ring to do it. the first one i got an automated service, which i coped with.

the second i had to talk to a lady, who was very patient with me.

but i did it, i rang and spoke to a stranger on phone lol

im working really hard on picking up the phone now to answer without leaving it to answer machine first.

whilst im here could i just say thank you to a nmper who has been helping me so much recently to gain confidence :hugs:

Well done you for conquering a fear!

I've had a fear for the last 3 years along the similar lines. I also had a fear of opening letters too because they 'obviously' contained bad news!

I took small steps like you to get over my fear (phobia) and have since taken a job in a call centre for a well known bank. :D

I'm not over the fear but I am learning to cope with it and if I can, anyone can.........trust me!

Well done, I dont use my house phone, but use my mobile all the time, I have no problems whatsoever texting, but speaking to a stranger is different.
