Panic over pale patch on gum

I have this oval shaped pale patch on my gum in front of my lower front teeth. At first glance it perhaps appears to be an ulcer (similar size and shape), but the skin is intact and shiney and it is not at all painful. I showed it to my dentist, who said it is normal; that the gum over the bottom front teeth often has paler patches. Anyway I carried on worrying, so I took it to my GP, who said the same thing. But I'm still worried!! Does anyone else have this???

I think we all pretty much have this. I knw i do. I go to the dr who tells me im not mad (my fear is losing my mind) and i believe her for say a day then i start thinking well what if she didnt ask me the right questions or what if something has changed since she saw me. I think we just have to trust them they know what they are doing and if they thought there was something serious wrong they wouldnt just dismiss us. but rest assured its normal for anxiety sufferes
