Back from Doctors

I was in there for ages this morning but I was determined to tell him everything!

I am glad to say that he is not referering me for another MRI based on my symptoms and says that I need to accept that it is health anxiety. I am to stay on my meds for at least another four months.

He has also refered me to group called 'Goal' with the NHS run for obese people, he seems to think that my weight and lack of exercise need to be addressed and could be a factor in my symptoms. I was shocked to see that by there charts I am 7 stone overweight!!!!!!!!!

So I came back to work and was explaining to my collegue and she said you should of insisted on a lumber puncture....yikes I thought, she may be right but then I said to myself, hang on a minute I need to listen to my doctor as he is the health professional.

Could I be getting better:)

its easy to listen to others and ur own fears and not trust the professionals

i know there are some ppl on nmp who do not think its right to trust their gp, i have been criticised before for doing so. but my gp has provided me with excellent support, quick referrals to psychology and psychiatry deps of the hosp, supported me regarding occupational health and my job, and most of all been a 'frind' whom i can come to to share my fears. i live in a small village and he knows my family well.

i dont have ha thou so i guess its easier for me

Thank you. I am trying though right now my vision is all over the place it is like looking through rain. But I finish work soon so I will go home and do some relaxtion.

Hi. Yes I am ok, relaxing now. Vision still a nightmare but I have to try and ignore that.
