Hi Everyone

I went out to my partners work do at the weekend (yeah, finish I never gone now, lol), but unfortunately the footwear I was wearing rubbed my heel to pieces. I have a raw patch off skin which the shoe has rubbed off and a blister next to it, plus it absolutely hurts, when I move it hurts.

I do not know what to do, yes I have been putting TCP on it regularly. I don't know if I should put anything on top of the raw skin/blister or should leave it open to dry.

Also how do you know if it is infected? also how long does it take to heal, no pun intended bythe way, lol.

Many Thanks

Hi hun, :D :hugs:

Ohh please, stop putting TCP on it, this is not going to help, ohh it must hurt sooo much when you put the TCP on.

A blister needs to dry out, so leave it alone, you can get blister plasters from the chemist, or ask the chemist advice, they are good these days.

It takes a hell of alot for a blister to get infected hun, please try not to worry, allthought with what you suffer with, I know its dame hard for you:hugs:

It can take awhile for it to heal, depending on the size hun, but pop to your chemist for advice hun, peace of mind goes along way.

Ohh had some of these myself, they can hurt alot, but go with time.

You take care:bighug1:

Apart from putting a special blister plaster on it leave it alone. It is only a blister and it will get better stop worrying about it.

Put talcum powder on it to keep it dry.

Hi Everyone

Many Thanks to those that have replied to my post.

Is the plasters for unpopped blisters or popped blisters, as I seem to have both and do they come in big sizes.

I am sorry for the minging large picture (not sure how to make it smaller) I was just trying to show you how big, the bilster and raw skin from rubbed shoes were. I would appreaciate any other advice.

And yes it is painfull, do you think I should go to the Gp regarding this or just get something from the chemist. I dont know, at the moment I cant really wear any shoes, so I have to wear my crocs with the back missing, lol. I hope it will get better soon, as I am a big wimp with pain, lol.

Many Thanks

You need to let it dry out. Get some of that non stick dressing and some tape and then when you have applied it leave it alone.

Don't keep putting liquid or cream on it.

As I have said before it needs to dry out to get better.

Good photo.
