bad morning side effects

Morning folks ,


After yet another dreadful night's sleep I have woken and started to up my dose of citalopram to 20mg as my doctor told me to , whilst takin our dog out some 2 hours later I had a dreadful feeling come over me , my legs went to jelly, I was so dizzy and faint, I have had a mars bar and got some lucozade to drink and I am feeling a but better, is this just side effects xx I dont think it was an attack because it didnt feel like one if that makes any sense x

Hi Sam,
I'm in the same place as you - today is my second day on the increased dosage of 20mg (from 10mg). I've been feeling spacey but it hasn't affected work (where I am now!) or anything else so far. As you felt better after lucozade and a Mars bar, your symptoms may have been caused by low blood sugar. Some people report a loss of apetite with citaolpram, so maybe you're not eating enough? I always take my tablet after food at breakfast time so it might be worth trying this. Good luck!
