Hello everyone,

What a great resource this is. I hope to find some of the answers to my questions here.

I have had problems with breathlessness and with globus hystericus (lump in the throat) for a number of months now.

My question is, could air-conditioning be responsible for affecting my throat in this way?

Grateful for any comments or suggestions.

Hi Spring Blossom.

I can't really offer any help but would like to reassure you that you're not alone with this. I too suffer bad attacks of breathlessness and this gets worse when I'm in an air conditioned atmosphere.

love
Sunny

Hi hun :D:hugs:

As it has allready been said this symptom is very common with anxiety, if you scroll down to the bottom of this page, there are more threads on this hun, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

I can't say if the air conditioning has any effect on this one hun, but I know for me, this is one thing I would have to analize. I would go without the air con for awhile and see how things go. I do know, alot of people on here have had this, me include, I was lucky, mine did not last for long.

Maybe you could ask a throat specialist? I don t feel its the air con, just Mrs anxiety playing with you, putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5, but I am no specialist. The reason I say this, when I was acute, I used to get symptoms in heat, my first pa was going abroad to a hot country, so evertime I felt heat, it remided me of the truma (panic)

Sorry I have not been of much help, I do hope you find the answers you are looking for.

YOU TAKE CARE
