thyroid problems??

hi guys

i have had trembling hands for about a year now, but cos people have started noticing ive gone to the GP who has sent me for blood tests to check if my thyroid is working properly.
Have any of you had similar problems and if so please share your experiences.

Hi Random,

I have an underactive thyroid but twice it has been overactive. Yes, my hands did shake and my heart raced too. I felt very jittery inside. It was also very difficult to sleep. The bloodwork will show whether or not you do have thyroid issues. Good luck.

This happened to my brother also, he was really quite ill before he was diagnosed with other symptoms of it as well, he lost hair on his legs and was shaking and sleeping all the time, he isnt a worrier whatsoever but he thought something was seriously wrong with him.

Hi everyone,
Just to say that I have an underactive thyroid and adrenal innsufficiency. The thyroid problem alone can cause bad anxiety and depression, but having low adrenal reserve means that I can't cope with stress well at all and usually end up with collapse,so I need a boost in cortisone and a week to recover !!! Even if your bloods come back normal you still may be suffering from an underactive thyroid !! The blood test ranges have been changed so now you are even more likely to be told that your thyroid is normal !! The easiest way is to do a basal temperature test first thing in the morning. Take a thermometer to bed and as soon as you wake place it in your armpit for 10 minutes. A normal temperature should be at least 97.8.

If it is over 98.2 then you could have an overactive thyroid (if you are without an infection present)
