My name is Jo and I can't begin to explain how grateful I am to have found this site. My story is similar to many of yours and at the moment I am in an extreme anxiety state (my drs words). I am taking Inderal for the first time and it seems to be helping. I feel my real problem is health anxiety and I read your new page concerned with this with great interest. Everything rang so many bells to me. Chest pain is always a heart attack (even though I've had good ECG's), a headache is always a brain tumour or stroke, aching calves are of course DVT's. I work in a hospital believe it or not!!!!!!! I am a midwifery assistant looking after pregnant ladies but I am seriously considering a new direction!!!!! I am very frightened of exhausting my family and friends with my attacks of panic and anxiety, they have all been so supportive of me over the last 3 wks.
Thanx for the opportunity to write and learn so much about how I am feeling.

Jo,

Sometimes working in a hospital doesn't help as you hear about those less fortunate than ourselves and apply the scenarios with yourself in the patients role..

If you went to some specialist labour wards you would never think anyone still gave birth the old way .. its a matter of perspective and experiences too.

What happened to start you off on this HA path ?

Glad you liked the page..Thanks

welcome to the site, isnt it great, everyone is here to help, and you will get loads of support, I found this site when i was of meds and feeling a lot better, but think had it not been for all the support i;ve had on here i prob would have gone back on meds. I have the odd iffy day, but this site has helped me through them, My only wish is that i'd found it sooner
