Hi
After years of handling an abundance of stress in it's various guises (including >30 years in a profession I've never taken to and seeing my wife nuke breast cancer) I "blew a valve" about 10 days ago with what my GP described as a panic attack. First time ever, and arguably the single most frightening experience of my 53 years. My usually normal BP skyrocketed, but a valium shot a posteriori handled that and the panic.
Lots to discuss - just delighted to be part of this group.
Best
Jeff

Wow, thanks guys for such a warm welcome! In brief I'd just like to say that I saw a psychiatrist last Thursday, who booked me off until tomorrow (Monday). He started me on Stresam with Xanor if need be should the panic monster rear it's hideous head. Today I started on Xanor SR, which seems to be controlling things. A bit freaked out about going back to work tomorrow - that's where things bombed.
