Hello everyone, I have suffered with anxiety and depression for 10 years now, I am agoraphobic and dont like travelling very far. I also work for mental health services which in some ways makes me feel crap about not being able to sort myself out but on the other hand makes me good at what I do because I totally understand and never patronise people.
I guess I'm on here as its easier to speak to strangers, most of my friends/colleagues don't have a clue about how bad I feel at times as Im quite a private person.
I hope to make some good friends :D

Hi and welcome, you will get lots of advice here, and Im sure make lots of new friends, I dont go out anywhere without my car or in daylight, but strangely enough can drive for miles if know where Im going and walk miles in dark nnow

Hiya george and welcome to NMP I have found this site sooooo helpfull and is full of some wonderfull people .
Hun just because you work in mental health doesnt mean you are excluded from anxiety etc ....thats the hard thing I think people feel because you work within the profession it wont affect yu .but it does m8 and it affects many of us so you arent on your own .....I was nursery nurse 4 7 years havin 2 deal with child abuse cases etc and now I cant even leave the house......such a big change bit Im dealing with it ...vey slowly but dealing with it xxxx
