Hi there,

I was thinking about my everyday thoughts and those that bring on a panic attack that I have daily anyway.

I thought I would write them down

The time I have got up in the morning.. am I lazy
The state of my house when I leave.. should i have got up earlier and tidied it.
Having to lock the door behind on my dog. my poor baby on his own
The state of my hair.. will people laugh at it, is it a mess
The state of my skin.. do I look spotty to people
Bad stomach from breakfast
Getting on public transport and endure an hour of being trapped
Have a emptied myself (you know what I mean) before getting on this transport
Getting to work, have I done anything wrong the day before, will I be in trouble
The mood of my boss
The mood of the office staff
When will I eat and what, will it upset my stomach
Have I spent too much on it
Am I doing everything that the boss asked me to do and is it up to standard
Am I being friendly with people
Have I stayed long enough at work
Imust go to the gym or I am lazy
Was my tea healthy, will it make me put on weight.

These are just a few of the things that ALL can trigger a panic attack and if I havent done anything right in these above statements.. wham there it goes!!!

Wow. God bless you for having all those thoughts going through your head. I can't think of any thoughts like that going through my own head at all. In comparison, it's almost as if my head is empty (which it very well may be, afterall!).

Here's my best guess as to my thoughts in the morning:

The sun is in/out today.
Looks cloudy/blue sky.

(I'm sitting here trying to think of more).

I'll fix the sink today (did this yesterday, actually).

Wow. That's about it. I know I probably think more than that, but that's all that I can recall that I would have thought about.

Just goes to show how different we really all are.

There is a book called 'Stop thinking, start living' which I found very useful. It shows you how to turn off the negative thoughts.
