Hey guys,

Have been having panic attacks quite a few times a day now for past 2 months. Am so sad and fed up now. Do any of you (i'm so ashamed) pinch yourself or anything when it gets really bad? I'm going to mention it to my GP on Fri. I'm on Propanolol 20 mg 3 times a day but it doesn't seem to be strong enough. I just dont know what to do anymore :weep:

Hello- don't be ashamed- its a response that you are trying to snap yourself out of it- like when you are tired and driving and open the window for air...i have squeezed my toes together to try and get cramp before so that i can distract myself.

I heard that tapping just beneath your collarbone in a rythmnic beat can help to alleviate anxiety- if your out in public it can get you a few odd looks- but who cares if it helps!!

Don't be afraid to speak to your GP- if they are worth their salt they won't judge or criticise and its perfectly ok. Good luck xxx
