For the past week or just over I have been feeling very nausious (not pregnant by the way before anyone suggests that).

I have been very bloated around my stomach and have had really bad indigestion as well. I can't seem to eat anything without feeling ill.

I have had indigestion on and off for over six months and was told it was anxiety (as always) but now I am really starting to worry about it.

I had my gallbladder removed about 4 years ago and after felt fine, but now in the past year I have started to feel ill again and I am worried that I have some sort of problem with my digestive system.

I can't shake this feeling of sickness at all. Some times I relaly think I'm going to be sick and have a churning feeling, but so far I haven't been. I also have a feeling fo phlegm in my throat.

I just don't know what is happening and I'm scared it is something bad. It feels like something welling up inside. I haven't had any acid in my mouth or throat but this feeling of churning and bloating. Sometimes I also get pain in my back which worries me as well.

I'm no expert, but this sounds like acid indigestion.

The first time I had acid indigestion, I felt as if my stomache had grown to the size of a small football and I couldn't eat a thing! I was given prescription strength anacids by my GP and it went away for months (Typically my recent levels of anxiety have brought it back).

I would have a chat with your doc and I bet he or she will recommend the same treatment.

ETA: Also I find I get phlegm and back pain when I'm anxious (and other places). The back thing will be your muscles being tight. I don't know why I get phlegm.

Don't be scared.:hugs:

I've had this for as long as I can remember. In fact, I have it now. Was fine today until about 6pm then felt bloated and nauseas. Have not had any interest in food for the past 5 hours, which is common with this complaint. It would appear that, for me, there does appear to be quite a lot of gas after about 2 hours of discomfort. This can be relieved or helped by taking some Deflatine tablets available over the counter. Sometimes I can't even talk because i feel so sick. I think this is probably the most debilitating of Anxiety symptoms as it really does prevent us from doing anything.

Thanks guys. Still feeling sickly today and it's relaly getting me down. Also today I had gripping stomach pains in my bowels. My mouth feels very fresh and pepperminty all the time which sounds strange. But it's like i'm breathing mintiness all the time. Very odd.

Hi precious,
The symptoms you are feeling could be related to a lot of things. I had exactly the same and still do sometimes. I was freaking out after reading everything about what I was feeling. I have a cancer phobia. So I would google that and see something that related to it all and I freaked out majorly for a few months. Now I realise this made thngs worse...A lot worse..
The Dr ended up sending me for a endoscopy ( camera down your mouth ) and they found I had gastritis( Stomach lining inflamation ) Nothing serious at all. Just took some medication ( losec ) and it cleared it up.. The gastritis that is.. Just realise that being anxious like this can have a very bad effect on your digestive system.. It is taking me a long time to get over it.. I went for a follw up endoscopy and colonoscopy when some of the symptoms persisted and they found nothing..All anxiety produced.. So get tested if you have to, but you need to put your mind at rest, otherwise you keep worrying about it all doing no favours to yourself.

Well just to update you, I have been sent for a blood test for h pylori bacteria as a first instance. This could take a couple of weeks apparently so I just have to forget about it for a while.

The indigestion pain has settled in the last couple of days so I am wondering whether I ate something that didn't agree with me.

But I still have a nausious feeling. This morning I was wretching on nothing at all as soon as I got up. I felt like I was gagging. This has past a bit now but I don't like this at all.

Have you thought about I.B.S Irritable Bowel Syndrome ? I had similiar symptoms a few years ago. I know that you have not spoken about bowel movements, but a i.b.s specialist nurse that I saw said that it can affect anything from the mouth, i.e indegestion, burping, bloating etc right through to the bowel movement. Please check this with a doctor.
But this is just another thought.
Take Care.

nauseaus can be linked to I.B.S. TRy taking pepermint tablets (Colpermin) or drinking peppermint tea, this should help with the bloating feeling and ginger is good for nauseaus.

Yes I had this blood test and it takes two weeks to come back. I also tested positive for the Helibacter pylori but don't panic if it comes back positive (like I did:blush: ) because apparently half the population have this bacteria in their stomachs. The doctor will probably put you on a cocktail of antibiotics to wipe it out if you do test positive. I was put on 3 Amoxicillin and 2 Metronidazole a day as well as two omeprazole tablets. I still get a few problems but my doctor gave me another prescription for omeprazole which I am on again at the moment. My sister has been on them for seven years so they must be okay to take long term.

I think anxiety has a lot to answer for because I am feeling bloated again at the minute with cramping pain in my stomach and near my right hip. I think I am worrying about my 16 year old daughter going away to Euro Disney next week for four days.:weep:
