stomach and no appitiete

Hi all,

I am having problems, it started with strange feelings in the stomach a couple weeks ago, i have now started to lose my appietite and am panicing everyminute of the day. i went to the docs and they said that its prob my ibs, i have never had proper tests to rule out other problems, but did have a full blood test of everything a couple years ago and doc said tests were fine so its prob ibs. i have had dark brown feaces the last few days and i am now worrying that it may be blood! i looked on internet and am thinking cancer or ulcer, im really getting worked up and panicy. any help out there?

Coming from someone thats convinced themselves in the past that there is blood in there and being sent to a bowel doctor, and having a specialists finger up there! i can only say dont panic! That was when i was 21, i am now 37 and still here! Since then ive had 2 kids and every symptom under the sun and every terminal illness you can google. Ive had the bloating, the cramps, the no appetite, not even being able to drink a cup of tea without indigestion. And now the ovary cyst worry.
It gets easier as you get older, because you recognise the pattern with experience. But the symptoms you describe are typical of stress induced IBS and the fact you have had full bloods taken, and they have come back ok, signal there is no indication of cancer in your blood? Good sign!
Keep busy, buy some Colefac or whatever they recommend for IBS these days and try to take your mind off it.
I remember getting myself so worked up yrs ago they had to put me on beta blockers and diazapam to calm me down so the pain subsided, and once that specialist told me i didn't have cancer, it did!

Hi, if you have blood in you poo it turns it really black like tar bit like when you are on iron tablets. I have been to GP too about poo colour and that what they told me, hope you are feeling better soon, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
