Hi,
Can drug withdrawal cause anxiety, panic and irrational thoughts. I am usually lucky in as much as i haven't endured anxiety to any major degree or panic. i had pain after surgery and needed morphine for 5 weeks then 3 weeks ago i just stopped it cold turkey, since then i have had what feels like constant panic, intense fear and anxiety and awful thoughts that terrify me such as i am possessed. I've been trying to understand what some good people here have told me that the thought itself isn't frightening me its the fear but it really does seem like its the thouht as it only happens when i think that particular thought. i also get worried as most on the forum mention what if thoughts yet mind have gone to i am and seem so believeable. Will they go when anxiety goes or now they are there will they always be, please can anyone help, thankyou, best wishes, Carol x
