Aneurysm help!

My father in law died of an aneurysm 9 years ago. I am now wondering if I should get my 9 year old daugther checked out? Can it go over 2 generations or only 1 generation.

Where was your father in laws aneurysm?? If it was an abdominal aortic one then that is rare in women it usually affects men and the tendency does pass down from father to son so if it was your father in law then it would be your husband who would be at risk.

If it was a brain one then they can happen to anyone - I have never ever heard of a young child having an aneursym and would think that a Dr would look at you in wonder if you asked about it.

I heard that if you founf them as a child you have a better chance of survival.
