Update on my neck lump

Right, so I saw the specialist today, and after a lot of poking around finding it, and she says the lump in my neck is my carotid valve, not a lymph node as my GP suggested. she asked me all sorts of questions about symptoms etc, whether its gotten any bigger, which I have none, and then told me to go home, nothing to worry about.

I guess I should trust her over my GP seeing as she is a specialist n all. Makes a bit more sense too if I cant even feel a smaller node on the other side of my neck.

Thanks! Although I'm quite annoyed and slightly confused now that the doc thought it was a swollen lymph node...its as I've spent the last 4 months worrying about this when it was probably unnecessary. I trust the specialist on this one, but how could the doc think it was a lymph node when I cant feel a smaller lymph node on the other side???

ive got a neck lump and for 8 years it was a lymph node only last week i went to get it checked and its a cyst weird
