abnormal smears

hi there i have had 3 abnormal smears first one was border line the second and third very slight changes i went for a coloscopy but nothin showed up doctor said everything was fine couldnt see anythin ?
but the smear he took came back the same as the last 2 !
i havent been bleedin between peroids or any other symtoms
i go back in november for an other smear test , has anyone else experienced this ?
im worried the doctor has missed somthing!!

My friend is off for a colposcopy soon.

Abnormal smears are quite common and if there was a problem the colposcopy would shouw it and then they would burn or freeze off the irregular cells.

My mum had abnormal smears for a year or so, all is well now.

She had to have smears every three months for a while there.

i had a borderline smear in jan 2005, i had a repeat 6 months later which was normal, then i had another 2 repeats 6 months apart and they was normal aswell, i was then told i dont need to go back till 2010. i did start worrying about it again especially after all the press with jade goody but my dr told me that if there was any doubt they would remove the cells, have you back for more repeats etc. she says anything can cause a smear to be borderline/abnormal.

you will be absolutely fine your dr cannot risk being wrong
