I've been through the panic attacks, anxiety attacks etc and have managed to overcome them despite going through the most stressful time of my life. Recently, and its sounds silly, I've been having shivers in my head! Its like a cold rush which takes over momentarily and I'm s***ting myself! I've been on the NHS Direct site checking under Brain tumours, brain cancer etc and am worrying myself silly!

And, to top it all, now I'm starting to have panic attacks ALL over again! I'm scared that if I go to the doctor he'll confirm my worst fears! Someone help or put me me out of my misery!

:(

Hi Lisa,

I have had these many times in the past, some people call them shivers others call them rushes. It is all part of anixaty. Like you I thought about brain tumours but by doing this you are feeding your fear and letting in more symptoms of anxiaty and then Panic.
I know its hard Lisa but tell yourself that it is anixiaty and it WILL go away. There are lots of post on here about this symptom.

thanks for the posts, they were informative however dont really seem to be relative to how I feel, its like a cold shiver sort of thig in my head, not my actual face but what I'd describe as my scalp (I sound weird!) I caant find anything like this on NHS Direct and dont know where else to search.

Wow every other feeling I have too and have had for years! Still nothing about the cold feeling but I am trying to ignore it and tell myself its anxiety rearing its ugly head again. Here we go again!....:-(
