Hoarse voice - a reason to worry?

OK so I do have a stinky cold, but I'm still managing to worry about my really hoarse voice. Amazingly this is the first cold I've had since my HA started 11 months ago, and I'm noticing all sorts of things about cold symptoms that I never noticed before: like hoarse voices.

Actually, it's funny, because when all this began my mum said, 'next you'll get a cold and you'll think it's cancer,' and I thought, don't be ridiculous, I'd never be that stupid..... but it turns out I am.

So, are hoarse voices normal with colds? Am I daft to worry?:blush:

Funnily enough I started with a cold or virus a week ago and more or less lost my voice for 3 days, just a hoarse squeek :ohmy:

It's back to normal now although I'm still not feeling 100%. Apparently there are a lot of people with the same virus at the moment and all have the hoarse voice.
