I was reading the Martin Lewis website the other day and came across this site. Apparently anyone claiming DLA can send off for a card which costs £5.50 and will allow them to take someone into the cinema with them free, so basically it's 2 for 1, bit like the Orange Wednesdays, but you can use it anytime :D

To apply for the card, you will need to meet one or more of the following criteria:
a) Be in receipt of the disability living allowance or attendance allowance.
b) Be a registered blind person.
To go to the cinema???????
Are they also giving discount radio's to the deaf?

you made me laugh thanks mate lol
Thanks Alabasterlyn that's something worth knowing.
Anyone on DLA who has trouble getting about on their own (for whatever reason) but would like to go to the cinema will find that very useful.
Thank you for taking the time to mention it. :hugs:

yip you get a cinema pass and the carer goes free but the bus passes are great with the care component then the person and the carer go free. BUT it all depends on your rate of DLA.
