Just watched your videos. Well done that man, you did really, really well.
I am not agoraphobic but have tendencies towards it. When my anxiety is at it's worst I suffer from awful, constant nausea and have to force myself out, so I know how terrifying it can be!

Onwards and upwards, it will get easier.

Hi,

Well done, you're doing really well!
I felt a bit anxious watching your videos as I'm just starting exposure therapy -through my CBT, and I'm petrified!

Wishing you lots of luck, and I hope it keeps getting easier and easier for you. I'm sure each time you are succesful it will give you the confidence to try more situations that you find difficult.

Hi Anna C

Do not worry about CBT. I had CBT for my agoraphobia with panic attacks. I got so worked up that I sat down in the room with pyschologist and burst in to tears and told her that I thougt that she was going to tell me to walk outside.

She was very good and said that she would not suggest anything that I could not do. That we would work together to see what I could do. The first thing that I did was to just open the front door and stand outside for a few minutes and that eventually progressed to putting the bins out the front and then sweeping up the leaves on the driveway. Eventually, after quite a few sesssions I managed to walk my dog up the road.

So do not be alarmed, please.
