If it's extra fast then I realise panic is coming and try to take some slow, deep breaths. If you are worried about it then I would recommend that. But some of the time I am just aware of my heart beating much faster than my husband's is, and I think that is because I just don't find it easy to relax. Even when I feel relaxed the thoughts are still whirling round my head.

How fast is your heart going? Are you anxious?

Take some deep breaths, count as you breathe. In, 1, 2, 3, 4... out, 1, 2, 3, 4... in... out... after a while you should feel your heart start to slow down. Don't think about anything else apart from your steady breaths.

Only when im anxious, and im aware that i am.
then i feel my pulse and it gets faster, then the panic really starts to kick in :(
Its such a horrible feeling.
I normally notice mine when im at rest.
