hey everyone,
this is one for the ladies, i suppose.
i take diazepam as a sort of last resort, when i'm feeling really really panicky, and even then don't take more than 2mg.
i recently went on the pill (microgynon) because i suffer from terrible stomach cramps when i get my period and the doc said this was the best way of getting rid of them.
my question is, is it okay to take diazepam when you are on the pill?
hope someone out there can help!

Hi Henri,:D

I'm not sure 100% sure but i'm on the pill and have taken diazepam before and have been fine.

To find out for definate if its's ok though you could:

1) Give you GP a ring and check.

2) You can ask a pharmacist as they always seem to know things when i have asked before.

3) Try NHS direct you can either ring or type a quesion on line here is the link for you

I know Meg would know the answer but I think she is on holiday at the moment.

I do know that St John's Wort definately does interfere with the pill though so you can't take that whislt you are on the pill. [No] [:O]

Hope this helps you.

Take care, ;)
