help can anyone relate?

Hi been on citalopram for about 2 weeks now and i keep getting a burning sensation under my skin and i panic then i feel like i want to jump out of my own skin coz i feel so strange. can anyone relate to this?? help

Yes, I can relate to that. I was on SSRI's about 11 years ago for anxiety (so it was a low dose), and they are WICKED drugs to start with. I was really "jittery" and kept getting this horrible sinking feeling in my chest that made me jump up in alarm. I also developed hot flashes at night and got the shakes. The good news is, after about 3 weeks, I started to feel the benefit and the initial side effects became less. They DO work, but they can make you a little zombified.
