Hi

As some of you may know, I have been slowly cutting down diazepam for a while. I was on 6mg last year and recently was on 2mg. I've been "stuck" on 2mg for several months, dreading stopping. However, the last 4 nights, I ve been taking 1 mg...I am just thinking its about time to end this, dreading or not dreading, because the longer you leave it the more difficult it will be, right?
3 nights ago, I woke up having a lucid dream ( i saw something in my bedroom which wasn't there) and I was terrified. But still, I decided to stick with 1mg.
I am just wondering... can cutting down tranquilizers give lucid dreams and night terror?
Thanks for reading.

Florence.

hi Flo,

I have no experience with Diazepam myself but would imagine that cutting down could do this to you. When I stopped Cipralex, I had a few episodes like this as well even though I came off them incredibly slowly. These reactions don't last for very long so hang in there hun..All the best.

Yes they can as part of withdrawing - keep going though Florence as it wil pass.
It may also have been waking up too fast and not anything to do with it

I am definitely sticking to it.. I will be med-free very soon. Determination is the key.
