Hello,

I have periods where i have panic attacks all the time, then they gpo away for a while, then they come back. Some people have them all the time, some people have them then they stop, some people only ever have one. And some people just dont get them (lucky poops)

Have you ever tried counselling? That has helped me because talking about it has lessened my anxiety, also breathing techniques....

Everyone is diferent though, i guess you have to do whats right for you.

I also wanted to say, that yes, it does get better - if you keep fighting.....

I've had these for about 5 years now and I wonder how I cope sometimes!!! I did have a good couple of years though where I could do just about anything without any problems - that was when I was on citalopram.
I have a friend who suffered from them aswell and she is absolutely fine now. She still gets a bit panicky sometimes but who doesn't? I think the reason she doesn't get them anymore and I do is because I developed avoidence behaviour where as she didn't. She went striaght into difficult situations from the word go where as I spent a lot of time avoiding places I knew would make me panic. The best advice I can give you is to not do that. Don't let it beat you or you will suffer for a long time. You are in the best position with this as it has only just started. Don't become afraid of it and get the help now and you can learn to cope and ignore it as my friend has done.

I don't know if you can ever fully make them go away but as I said before - everyone in the world experiences moments of panic in their lives.

Work on it now and you will be feeling better soon. xxx
