Hi Fionajane, I am on propanlol for anxiety/stress and I find they work for me I have cut down from two to one tablet a day I take it in the morning. Because I am so much medication my GP is trying to wean me off some of the tablets, mainly for blood pressure, cholestrol. I did worry at first as they slow your heart rate down but they have helped me to feel calmer.

Hope they work for you. Just give them a try and if they don't work wean off them slowly with your doc's advise of course.
