View Full Version : Feeling Frightened

At the moment I am feeling very vunerable and frightened.

I obviously have the flu. I'm goosebumpy cold, aching all over, my ears sound fuzzy, and my eyes are blurry. I feel like I have been run over by a truck.

Problem is, a friend of ours had flu like symptons about a year ago................and he died. Something to do with his heart I think.

I had an ecg last week and the doc said it was okay.

I cannot get this out of my mind. He was bad on a Sunday night and died on the Monday morning. Guess what today is. It is totally illogical I know.

My chest keeps giving short, sharp stabbing pains and I do have a nasty cough that strains my chest.

Am I being stupid?

Recently I have been quite well, then suddenly my BP shot up. I am on meds for it.

Somebody say something please.

Pansy

My heart is also quite rapid, and loud.

Hello Pansy,

Don't be frightened. All the symptoms you describe are exactly the same as the ones my Husband has, especially the nasty cough, which has made his chest sore too - the cough really does strain the muscles.

Your ecg was fine last week, so absolutely no problems there.

I know it is hard not to worry and really difficult when you are feeling poorly.

Thanks for your comforting reply. Although I feel really ill.............I feel quite silly.

Don't worry, it's nothing, and being frightened won't kill you :)
