Hi everyone,
I am still struggling with high anxiety and bizarre thought. I always read or hear of anxiety thoughts being 'what if' but mine went straight to the more positive 'i am' and so is scaring me more as it seems so real . Does this make any difference to whether it will go away or not? Thankyou , love Carol x

In my opinion hun no it dont make any differance
Anxiety is very very good at making your thoughts seem like its more likey to be true just because you mind is saying it is rather than it might.
when you get these thoughts write down what evidance you have to make it true.
then write down what you have to make it not true.
when the thought strikes you take out the not true ones and read it, keep reading it untill you feel better about it.
thoughts are just thoughts and very commen amongst anx suffers, try not to let them scare you and remember its all part and parcels of the anxiety.
best wishes

My worrying thoughts have become "I am" "This is me" and I get all sorts of horrible hings come to my head.

I am sure it's anxiety. It's hard as the thoughts do seem all very real but the main thing is you don't act on them so I guess this is what you could do to be positive.
