Hi thanks for your support have finely had my surgery this morning, just this minute back. They booked me to stay overnight but as I have good family they let me go on condition I go in the morning for them to look at my eye. I did stay awake like I wanted the anaesthetist gave me good sedation soon as I arrived which put me to sleep within half an hour next thing I knew they said come mr read time for surgery. I was fully aware of all that happened but amazingly I was pretty calm and relieved it’s done at last. Don’t know how well I can se yet as the dressing has to stay on until the morning. The needles in the eye where unpleasant but so glad its over. Will post later and let u all know rest as its hard to see at the moment trying to hold glasses against my eye as I cant wear with the big dressing. Thanks all so much for you help. Vernon

Thanks Meg much harder to see at the moment with this great big patch lol but do feel on a high and much better. I told the anethatis about chest pain and feeling sick and he gave me something for that to. The sedative was only tablet form but gosh put me to sleep in no time and they had to wake me to take me to the operating theatre. But glad I stayed awak as wife and daughter where quite bad with beng sick and tired for a couple of days having a GA. Thanks again u all really helped me so much. Had I not gone I think my depression would have went sky high, been putting this of for over two years now.

Excellent Vernon, well done!!! The needle in the eye isn't toooo bad really is it! Well, mine was more of a flat blade type thing that cut the surface of the eye.

Now you'll be able to look at all our beautiful pictures more clearly with any luck! lol
