Was shopping today, finished actually, on my way out the centre and back to the car my heart suddenly went really irregular, beats were all over the place.

I didnt feel dizzy, but had a sense of urgency to escape and feelings of impending doom/death, and my chest felt really light.

After reading last night a post about atrial fibrilation with these sort of symptoms I miraculously get them today when i never before have had a horrible experience the same as this! WHY?????

Can anyone else relate? Cassi xxxxx

I had AF. It was the most horrendous thing ever. They were continuous for about 4 days when i finially had to call an ambulance because i felt so flipping bad.

I can relate though, we read things and as if by magic we show symptoms ;)
Power of our minds..lol

Oh no thats horrible, i hope you don't mind but i have questions!??

How exactly did you feel with this AF? Like what were the symptoms/what made you feel so bad? Had to call an ambulance, really? This happened once in the centre for about 20 seconds and in car on way home, only for about 10 seconds, i feel I am being somewhat dramatic now, but id never felt it before, just wanted to know how you felt it/symptoms etc

thanks in advance cassi xxxxxxx

Right, i will explain this as best as i can. The ambulance men said its when either the top two chambers or the bottom two beat different times.

For me i was having ONE really hard thump, like someone punched me in the chest, then my heart would race, but irregular, not a normal beat. Then i would get a massive pause, then my heart would go really slow, again irregularly, not a nice normal beat. This was CONSTANT. Not a normal beat for days. It was simply horrible.

I called an ambulance because i basically felt exhausted, breathless, dizzy and sick. I couldn't walk upstairs without needing to sit down.
