I'm a 45 year old female from the uk, and have had social anxiety problems since childhood.

It's been great to find this site and realise it's not just me!

I've already had a good laugh (in sympathy of course:) ) at some of the posts.

You are not the only one that has had a good laugh either. Just the past few days I have been on here has been so healing for me. I know now I am not alone, I know I can reach out and someone, anyone will grab my hand and pull me up without judging me. It's a wonderful, incredible place to be.
