hi!

im just looking for some advice. what do you do when you've got a relative whos taking advantage of your anxiety disorder, and sees it as a weakness to be taken advantage of?

is anyone in this situation?

im guessing ignoring it is the best and staying away from that person. if i try to confront them and stand up for myself, i get the feeling ill just be made to be the one in the wrong, or a meany.

so how then can i get it out of my mind, and get on with my life?

Hiya Peach,

I had a terrible time with brother in relation to my anxiety. He became absolutely horrid with me, and yes when i stuck up for myself he ripped into me even more.

He eventualy told me he didnt want anything to do with me, and that i was a parasite.

Thankfuly i realised he was the one with problems, and if he wanted to take himself away from me, just because i was ill, then thats the right thing to do.

I dont get any pressure from him anymore, no feelings of having to rush to get better.

My advice would be to speak up for what you believe in, what will be will be.

There always a life time left to rebuild bridges when your better, if they wont then thats there choice.
