upping my dose...

hi all..
i had started on v10mg and after 2 weeks feeling alot better but my doctor has upped the dose to 20mg..she said this will be okay as it is in my sytem..does anyone have any opinions/experiences..?

Hi there, I also am on 10 mg of citalopram, even though doctor said I should take 20mg, the bottom line is you know how you feel beeter than your doctor.

I you up the dose you will get a short return of whatever side effects you got at the start, but like then they will go away after couple days. If you feel ok without upping it then you shouldn't, but if you feel it would help then it wont do any harm other than beinga little harder to come off in the future, all the best, hugs Steph x

hi iam now on day 5 of 40mg not feeling too bad with the side effects, still got the stupid thoughts that keep coming into my head, how long should these last as i cant remember from the last time i upped my dose? I have been struggling on 30mg for a long time as the anxiety is very much like the side effects.
